Chaos vs Control

There are millions of philosophies and quotes about how to live your life; some people plan their life to the nth level of detail, weeks and months ahead and become quite beside themselves should they enter a Friday morn without a validated weekend schedule lined up. Others glide upon the waters going anyway the wind blows. Personally I am very much of a “let’s see” kind of person about a great number of things, but am quite precise about others.

But no one truly has control……control in the broadest “life” sense is pure unobtainium – there is really no such thing as control. And the concept that one can control their life given the complexity of the human minds, the high volatility resultant of human interactions, all while hurtling through space on an 8,000 mile wide rock at 70,000 MPH, is humorous at least and downright absurd at best. Talk of fate, luck, karma, predestination, divine intervention, good fortune (or bad), being blessed (or cursed), or whatever else one might try to describe their personal lot, and you reach closer to the navel of the reality. There is a universe full of forces, actions, and outcomes that given a thousand lifetimes to plan for, we could never avoid. The chaos theory will take your mind, fill it with all the colors of the rainbow mixed with some good old fashioned accelerant, and then blow it to kingdom come.
